The firm Face B was founded in 2010 by Camille Mourier and Germain Pluvinage, with the aim of combining physical and theoretical experimentation with the act of building. Their first commission was a 17,000 m² building, won following a reflection on the contemporary transformations of workspaces.
This desire for experimentation is now reflected in the wide range of projects developed by the firm: sports halls, museums, media libraries, winter gardens, footbridges, renovations, and housing. Each project is an opportunity to transform reality through political engagement, a cultural act, or an ecological statement.
Face B places humanity and its capacity for emotion at the heart of its thinking. In 2018, the firm received several architectural awards and trophies, including the Équerre "Culture, Youth and Sport" award, the Eiffel Steel Construction Trophy, and the AMO award for the Quai de la Moselle sports hall in Calais. Bureau face B currently works in mainland France and Belgium.
