Architect David Bastos heads the firm that bears his name, with offices in Salvador and São Paulo. A graduate in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), he began his professional career working in the public sector, developing social housing and urban planning projects for the Bahia state government. In the 1990s, he opened his own studio, spurred by his early work on beach houses along the coast of Bahia.

From the beginning , his interior design projects attracted attention for their natural blend of contemporary , rustic , and classic styles — a characteristic that quickly made him stand out in specialized publications in Brazil . Over nearly three decades , his firm has broadened its horizons , undertaking a wide variety of residential , commercial , and corporate projects in various regions of the country and abroad.
