This beach house project in Itamambuca combines the warmth of rustic style with the sophistication of contemporary design, capturing the essence of a true coastal retreat. With 240 sqm distributed over two levels, the house features four suites—two on the ground floor and two on the upper level—ensuring privacy and comfort for its occupants.
The social area was designed to offer an integrated experience, bringing together the living room, dining area, and kitchen into a spacious and functional layout. This space fully opens to the outdoors through wooden and glass frames, which, when retracted, seamlessly connect the interior to the veranda and gourmet area. Facing the pool, these living spaces are surrounded by tropical vegetation that adds freshness and harmony to the landscape.
Natural materials such as wood and straw were selected to create a warm and airy atmosphere, contrasting with concrete-toned flooring and white walls and ceilings, resulting in a balanced blend of rusticity and modernity. The flat roof lends lightness to the main volume, while the pitched roof on the upper floor reinforces the beach house character and gives the composition a discreet presence that integrates well with nature.
Designed to minimize visual impact and maximize thermal comfort, the house features large openings for natural ventilation, reducing the need for air conditioning. Generous eaves protect materials and allow outdoor spaces to be comfortably used even on rainy days. Sustainability was also a priority, with a solar water heating system and photovoltaic panels for energy generation.
As a vacation home, the project reflects the desire for a beachside refuge that not only meets practical and aesthetic needs but also values a close connection with nature and the responsible use of resources.
