El edificio Taller Di Frenna arquitectos se formó con la visión de brindar espacios que inspiren a los arquitectos a la creación de otros proyectos, compuesto por espacios como el taller de maquetas, áreas audiovisuales, salas de juntas y área de escritorios, además de ser un espacio muestra de nuestro trabajo y visión como despacho de Arquitectura.

Esta obra es el resultado de integrar los elementos más representativos de nuestra arquitectura; una volumetría limpia y definida, materiales aparentes y expresivos, texturas que llaman a ser tocadas donde nos atrevimos a experimentar con diferentes materiales, naturales e industriales, como el uso de acero, concreto, la madera quemada y piedra entre muchos otros acabados que le imprimen un carácter único, personal y artístico, según el estilo del despacho.

Se establecieron patios interiores para conseguir una arquitectura que convive con lo natural, espacios que rompen la monotonía con sus juegos de niveles, luces y sombras; todo esto con la intención de estimular la imaginación y creatividad, creando ambientes de relajación e inspiradores.

Between the green of nature and the contrast of its pure forms, a building with a strong presence and character stands in Colima. The Taller Di Frenna Arquitectos building was created with the vision of providing spaces that inspire architects to create other projects, consisting of spaces such as the model workshop, audiovisual areas, meeting rooms, and office space, as well as being a showcase for our work and vision as an architecture firm. This work is the result of integrating the most representative elements of our architecture: clean and defined volumes, exposed and expressive materials, textures that invite touch, where we dared to experiment with different natural and industrial materials, such as steel, concrete, burnt wood, and stone, among many other finishes that give it a unique, personal, and artistic character, in keeping with the firm's style. Interior courtyards were created to achieve an architecture that coexists with nature, spaces that break the monotony with their play of levels, light, and shadows, all with the intention of stimulating the imagination and creativity, creating relaxing and inspiring environments. All of this was neatly executed by the talented hands of our master builders and artisans from Colima. Taller Di Frenna architects is a philosophical refuge where every architectural detail is designed to enrich life and nourish the soul.

Este es el hogar de Taller Di Frenna Arquitectos, un espacio concebido no solo como un lugar de trabajo funcional, sino como una fuente de inspiración. Nació con la intención de fomentar la creatividad, ofreciendo un entorno estimulante donde la arquitectura se practica y se vive. El edificio incluye espacios como un taller de maquetas, áreas audiovisuales, salas de reuniones, una zona de escritorios y patios abiertos, todos ellos cuidadosamente diseñados para despertar la imaginación y el diálogo. Además, el espacio sirve como un portafolio vivo, mostrando nuestra identidad arquitectónica, nuestra visión y los valores que definen a nuestra firma. Este proyecto encarna los elementos más característicos de nuestro enfoque arquitectónico: volúmenes limpios y bien definidos; el uso de materiales expresivos, aparentes y honestos; y un fuerte énfasis en la textura y la experiencia táctil. Apostamos por la experimentación, fusionando elementos naturales e industriales como el acero, el hormigón, la madera quemada y la piedra. Estos materiales, junto con una variedad de acabados, proporcionan una estética rica y con múltiples capas, impregnando el espacio de una sensibilidad única, personal y artística que se alinea con la filosofía de nuestro estudio. Los patios interiores salpican el edificio para introducir luz natural y vegetación, lo que permite una coexistencia perfecta entre la forma construida y la vida orgánica. Estos espacios, a través de su juego de niveles, luces y sombras, rompen la monotonía espacial y generan momentos de calma, contemplación e inspiración. Invitan a los usuarios a hacer una pausa, respirar y reconectarse con la naturaleza, incluso en un entorno urbano. Cada rincón del edificio cobró vida gracias a las hábiles manos de nuestros maestros constructores y artesanos, cuya destreza añade profundidad y alma a cada superficie. En Taller Di Frenna Arquitectos, la arquitectura es más que diseño: es un refugio filosófico. Aquí, cada línea, material y proporción se estudia cuidadosamente para enriquecer la vida cotidiana, fomentar la conexión humana y nutrir el espíritu creativo.

Taller Di Frenna Arquitectos ha sido reconocido a nivel nacional por su compromiso con la excelencia e innovación en el diseño. El despacho recibió la Medalla de Oro en la Bienal Regional VI, Región V Manzanillo 2025, el primer lugar en el Premio Firenze Entremuros 2025 en la categoría de Interiorismo Corporativo, el primer lugar en los Premios Construye 2025 en Infraestructura Privada, así como primer lugar en el Premio Noldi Schreck en la categoría de Espacios Corporativos. Además, fue finalista en los Premios AD México y Latinoamérica, Premio Interceramic y Obra del año por Grupo Expansión, reafirmando su visión creativa y su búsqueda constante de calidad.

The building houses a model-making workshop, audiovisual areas, meeting rooms, open workspaces, and interior courtyards, all thoughtfully designed to spark imagination and dialogue. More than an office, the space serves as a living portfolio, expressing our architectural identity, vision, and the values that define our practice.

This project embodies the most distinctive elements of our architectural approach: clean, well-defined volumes; the use of expressive, exposed, and honest materials; and a strong emphasis on texture and tactile experience. We embrace experimentation, blending natural and industrial elements such as steel, concrete, charred wood, and stone. These materials, combined with a variety of finishes, create a rich, layered aesthetic that infuses the space with a unique, personal, and artistic sensibility aligned with the philosophy of our studio.

Interior courtyards punctuate the building, introducing natural light and vegetation and allowing for a seamless coexistence between the built form and organic life. Through their interplay of levels, light, and shadow, these spaces break spatial monotony and generate moments of calm, contemplation, and inspiration. They invite users to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature—even within an urban setting.

The studio was awarded the Gold Medal at the VI Regional Biennial, Region V Manzanillo 2025; first place at the Firenze Entremuros Awards 2025 in the Corporate Interior Design category; first place at the Construye Awards 2025 in Private Infrastructure; and first place at the Noldi Schreck Awards in the Corporate Spaces category.
