Dental Seny

2026

The renovation of the Dental Seny clinic proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of the dental space, understanding architecture as a tool to transform the patient experience. Beyond a mere aesthetic update, the project develops a precise spatial strategy in which identity, function, and atmosphere are integrated into a clear and legible structure.

The intervention reorganizes the existing layout through a central gesture: the introduction of a curved geometry that acts as the organizing core. This continuous volume structures the public area and establishes a gradual transition between the entrance and the clinical zone. In contrast to the typical fragmentation of such programs, the project embraces spatial continuity and fluid circulation.

The waiting room is conceived as an enveloping space defined by curved surfaces and a suspended ceiling that emphasizes its centrality. The absence of sharp edges and the continuity of materials dissolve boundaries, generating a more open and serene perception. Continuous flooring and neutral-toned surfaces reinforce this unified reading, while wood introduces a more human scale that balances the technical precision of the healthcare environment.

In contrast to this organic condition, the clinical program is developed along the perimeter under an orthogonal and efficient logic. The treatment rooms are arranged in alignment, optimizing installations and ensuring strict hygienic conditions. The layout incorporates differentiated circulation paths that separate public and internal flows, allowing medical staff to move between hygiene, sterilization, and support areas without interfering with patient circulation. This clear organization not only improves functionality but also reinforces the reading of the project as a coherent system.

Materiality is approached with sobriety and coherence. Natural wood, used in doors and paneling, creates a continuous envelope that organizes the perimeter and absorbs the technical program. In contrast, mortar surfaces and lighter planes enhance the perception of light and spaciousness. The result is a balance between warmth and precision, between domesticity and healthcare requirements.

Lighting, both natural and artificial, is integrated as part of the architecture. Light is distributed evenly, avoiding harsh contrasts and following the curves of the central space. Rather than an added element, it becomes a resource that emphasizes the continuity and calm that define the intervention.

Dental Seny is thus conceived as an architecture in which form is not an isolated gesture but an organizational tool. The curve does not act as a formal device, but as a spatial mechanism that organizes, connects, and enhances the experience. In a program traditionally associated with rigidity and fragmentation, the project proposes a clinic understood as an interior landscape: precise in its function and welcoming in its perception.
