Milan, October 20, 2025 – Moncler has opened the doors to Casa Moncler, its new Milan headquarters located in the heart of the Symbiosis district, one of the city’s most dynamic urban regeneration projects. Spanning a total area of 77,000 square meters, including a six-floor building rising 32 meters, an expansive showroom, and surrounding green area, the new headquarters brings together Moncler’s entire community in Milan, previously based in three locations, under one roof. More than an architectural project, the new space stands as a tangible expression of the brand’s identity, values, and vision.
“Casa Moncler is not just a place – it’s the manifesto of who we are and what we strive to continue being. For the first time, we are bringing together over 700 colleagues from our Milan offices under one roof, in a space designed to foster collaboration, dialogue, and creativity. Here, we want ideas to move fast, and creativity and uniqueness to find their voice. Here, everyone is part of something greater. Casa Moncler is where our energy takes shape and becomes the future,” said Remo Ruffini, Chairman and CEO of Moncler S.p.A.
Design in dialogue with the urban context
The architectural project, crafted by the international firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, combines design excellence, sustainable innovation and well-being while enhancing the neighborhood’s industrial character.
Clean, essential lines meet preserved elements of industrial heritage, such as the historic chimney reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Large glass façades on the south and east sides open the interiors to the inner garden, while the north and west façades recall industrial rigor through framed concrete openings. A 4,500-square-meter double-height showroom, topped with a shed roof, is designed to optimize natural light and provide a versatile exhibition space.
Outside the building, a 7,500-square-meter landscaped area is designed for gathering and interaction. The terrain features gentle slopes leading to a central area enhanced by a green pergola. The serpentine stone elements draw inspiration from Moncler’s alpine DNA, while the trees are aligned to echo the rhythm of the glass façade, creating a refined dialogue of reflection and transparency between nature and architecture.
Inside, a double-height lobby leads to shared spaces including a café, a company restaurant, a fully equipped gym, and a modular auditorium adaptable to diverse meeting and event formats. From the first floor, dedicated to prototyping and patternmaking, up to the fifth, home to the design teams, the building houses all creative, corporate and commercial functions — including a laboratory for fabric and material testing to evaluate and verify their performances.
The interior spaces, designed to be flexible and to foster collaboration, support cross-functional work, while the spacious, light-filled common areas encourage collective creativity, something that has always been at the core of Moncler’s identity. More than a conventional office, Casa Moncler is unique place where everyone can feel part of a community.
Antonio Citterio, Chairman and Co-Founder ACPV ARCHITECTS: “We designed a building with a manufacturing character, rigorous and measured, that represents a significant intervention in Milan’s urban development. The project comes from an ongoing dialogue between us, the architects, and the client: it is a statement of intent about the role architecture can play in shaping a contemporary corporate identity.”
Sustainable innovation and circular design
The chimney, a symbol of the site’s industrial heritage, now functions as an intake for external air captured at 60 meters, which is then circulated through the bioclimatic greenhouse on the south façade, helping to regulate internal temperatures.
The bioclimatic greenhouse hosts three distinct ecosystems: the grassland, the Mediterranean scrub, and the cold desert. Grasses, shrubs, climbing plants, and cacti were chosen for their adaptability to the environmental conditions of the area. This space contributes to thermal comfort and natural temperature regulation of the interiors through the greenhouse effect and a passive ventilation system. Serving as a buffer between interior and exterior, it regulates light and temperature across seasons: providing a milder climate in winter, and promoting natural ventilation in summer, in synergy with the chimney.
Patricia Viel, Architect and Co-founder ACPV ARCHITECTS: “Set within an urban context undergoing profound transformation, the building brings quality and vision back to a historically neglected area. The project integrates identity and innovation, people’s well-being and environmental comfort, into a coherent system that represents a new paradigm for building: architecture designed to evolve with those who inhabit it.”
The entire complex has been designed to meet the highest environmental standards and is in the process of obtaining WELL and LEED certifications, recognizing excellence in quality of space and environmental impact. The design prioritizes indoor air quality, thermal comfort, natural lighting, and, wherever possible, the use of materials with a lower environmental impact. High-efficiency energy systems, photovoltaic panels and a geothermal system further contribute to minimizing emissions.
The use of recycled materials is an integral part of the project. The carpet and the bases of the office chairs are partly made from nylon production scraps, the sound-absorbing panels and some cabinets and desks contain recycled fibers, while some outdoor flooring contains recycled shoe soles. These materials are thus given new life and transformed into functional elements, some of which are patented, the result of a collaborative process with leading external partners such as Kvadrat Really, ESO Recycling, Impact Acoustic, and RadiciGroup.
A space for connection, creativity, and well-being
The new Moncler headquarters is designed as a place that supports employees’ everyday life beyond work, offering services aimed to enhance the well-being of everyone in the space. From the over 600-square-meter gym, the café, to the company restaurant serving seasonal and balanced menus; from mobility services such as the company shuttle and electric bikes, to a 400-space parking area including 100 electric vehicle charging stations; and concierge services such as postal delivery, laundry, and repairs – every detail has been conceived to simplify daily life, strengthen a sense of belonging and promote well-being. Relaxed common areas, kitchenette corners, and The Nest, a dedicated nursing room offering a quiet and comfortable space for new parents, further enhance the sense of community
