Founded in 1994 by architect Vipul Patel, VPA Architects has grown into one of Ahmedabad’s quietly influential practices, known for its sensitive, climate-responsive architecture and refined material vocabulary.

What began as Vipul’s solo practice has evolved into a second-generation studio, now helmed by principals Ronak Patel, Naiya Patel and Jinal Patel, who carry forward the firm’s ethos of contextual clarity and human-centred design. VPA’s work spans residences, institutional buildings and hospitality projects, unified by a strong grounding in proportion, craft and landscape.

Their design philosophy is rooted in simplicity—spaces shaped by natural light, local materials and measured geometries rather than excess. Visually, their projects often blend exposed brick, stone, wood and soft transitions between inside and outside, creating architecture that feels contemporary yet deeply connected to place.
