Our design practice is based on a fundamental understanding that the essence of existence is the symbiosis of "things" and "relationships between things," with the two being intertwined and mutually dependent. Correspondingly, seemingly contradictory relationships such as group-individual, new-old, dissolution-establishment, beginning-end, etc., often do not have absolute boundaries. They are merely "manifestations" of the "essence" as a continuous spectrum, specifically presented under different conditions and in front of different objects.

We view architecture as a flexible framework medium to precisely harmonize the specific "manifestations" of each project, allowing them to form a mutually supportive system. Each element in the system benefits from the presence of other elements, ultimately creating a unified yet diverse "mixed" field. This empowers everyone within the space to choose how to experience it according to their own preferences, enabling different individuals within the same building to gain their own unique "freedom" experience.

"No, also" can therefore be understood as a kind of "moderation" central principle: neither this nor that, neither here nor there, neither bound nor free, neither having nor not having. Facing the present and the foreseeable future, perhaps this kind of architecture, which simultaneously seeks "top-down order" and "bottom-up freedom," "collective consensus" and "individual choice," and achieves a delicate balance between unified essence and complex manifestations, still has the ability to reconcile and reconnect people with the physical world.

Our design practice is based on the fundamental belief that the essence of existence is the symbiosis of " Things " and their " Interrelations " . a flexible framework and medium to involve the polarized elements of each project into dialogue, creating an Interpotentiation Field where all elements' energies are heightened in each other's presence, revealing the existing essential capacity of a project's Context , and endowing architecture with the spiritual transcendence that directly appeals to human heart.

NOR is considered as a Core of The Middle Way : neither this nor that, neither here nor there, neither bound nor free, neither Being nor Non-being. It seeks both “flexible mediation” and “precise intervention”, ambiguously yet explicitly searching for connections and balances between top-down order and bottom-up freedom, between collective tendencies and individual choices, and between numerous appearances and the essential unity.
