Region Austral is an urban design, landscape architecture and territorial planning studio dedicated to designing cities and territories through interdisciplinary collaboration, citizen participation and a strategic understanding of social, infrastructural and ecological dynamics.
The practice specializes in leading urban projects across Latin America focused on resilience, the improvement of vulnerable neighborhoods, sustainable infrastructure, and ecological design. Its multiscalar and interdisciplinary approach has contributed to the implementation of architectural and urban programs and projects in various cities throughout the region.
The team has experience collaborating with public institutions, private partners, multilateral organizations, and academic institutions. Its work has been recognized in architecture and urbanism competitions, as well as in national and international exhibitions and events.
Region Austral was co-founded and is directed by Soledad Patiño and Stefano Romagnoli, who complement their professional practice with research and teaching at both national and international levels.
