MICROSCAPE was founded in Lucca in 2006 by two siblings: Patrizia Pisaniello and Saverio Pisaniello, who decided to combine their interests, which range from urban and landscape architectural research to artistic and photographic communication, writing, and teaching. In 2009, the Town Hall Square in Povegliano was selected as a project for the fifth edition of the Premio Piccinato. ​

MICROSCAPE has a solid international reputation thanks to prestigious awards obtained in Italy, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Slovenia and China.
