MARXE is an architecture and territorial workshop engaged with the design and execution of projects aiming to improve habitats while enhancing the value of cultural and natural heritage.

MARXE works with a trans-scalar point of view that explores the potential of overlapping rural and urban, public and private, productive and reproductive.

MARXE mainly focuses on urban and territorial regeneration and rehabilitation of built heritage, revealing the latent values ​​of the pre-existing architecture.

MARXE was born in Galicia in 2023 as an evolution of the previous experience of BIVAQUE, an itinerant architecture and urbanism office that mainly developed projects in Europe and Latin America, being awarded on several occasions in national and international competitions such as Europan 15 and 16 or Nusos i Cruïlles (AMB).

Recently, the work of MARXE was selected by the Colexio de Arquitectos de Galicia for the MOSTRA NOVA ARQUITECTURA GALEGA 2024 and by the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectura de España for the ARCHITECTURE 2024 AWARDS.

Currently , Natalia Alvaredo , Aurora Gil, and Javier Rocamonde are permanent members of MARXE. However, MARXE has an extensive network of collaborators who cooperate regularly, creating horizontal structures adapted to the specificities of each project.
