From a young age I was lucky enough to visit, day in and day out, a house that could easily be the subject of organized tours, where hundreds of people would come, camera in hand, to capture each and every detail it hides, and which I am still discovering.
I suppose that was one of the things that made me appreciate architecture. I graduated from the ETSA in Valladolid in 2009 and have been practicing the profession ever since, working alongside the person who designed that building.
Also, by chance, I have had the opportunity to surround myself with people with a sensitivity, a technique and a unique way of seeing things that a good photographer must possess in order to be able to capture in an image exactly what they want to convey.
That's why, just as with architecture, I began to take an interest in photography, to practice, and to research this subject. I graduated from the Professional Photography course at the EFTI Center in 2017.
I understand the dedication involved in completing an architectural project, which is why it's essential to capture that work visually and showcase the effort and passion invested. It would be my pleasure to help you accomplish this.
I graduated from the ETSA of Valladolid in 2009. Since then I have worked as a collaborating architect alongside my father, Gabriel Gallegos Borges. In 2017, I completed the Professional Photography Course at the EFTI School in Madrid. From that moment on, I began my professional career as an architectural and interior design photographer.
In March 2017 I won First Prize in the 5th Edition of the “Holy Shot” Photography Contest by Hitachi in the Architecture category.
In November 2018 I participated in the 12th edition of PechaKucha Night Valladolid addressing the topic of Urbex or urban exploration.
In February 2019 I collaborated in the production of a charity calendar produced by the collective “Patio de Sombras”, intended for entertainment in children's hospitals.
In March 2021, I completed my first report: a home renovation in Valladolid. From then until the end of 2025, I combined my work as an architect with architectural photography.
In November 2022 I held the exhibition “…of time and destruction…”, curated by Fernando Díaz Pinés, at the University of Valladolid Museum, where I showed a selection of photographs of abandoned buildings, a personal project that I started in 2016.
In April 2023 I was a finalist, with three proposals, in the photography competition on Vernacular Architecture organized by Share Your Green Design.
In November 2023, I participated in the exhibition “Objective. The Modern” at the Patio Herreriano Museum, organized by the Official College of Architects of Valladolid to coincide with the XII Docomomo Iberian Congress in the capital of Castile and León. Since then, I have collaborated occasionally with this organization.
In June 2024 I received an Honorable Mention in the XIII Architecture Awards of Castilla y León, in the category Other Fields of Activity of Architects, with the proposal for Exhibition and Catalogue “…of time and destruction…”.
In January 2025, I participated, with 3 photographs, in the book Atlas of Ruins, made using images from artists around the world selected through a competition organized by the Reuse Italy collective.
From 2026 I began to dedicate myself, almost exclusively, to architectural photography.
My work has been published in various digital and print media such as Arquitectura Viva, Divisare, HIC Arquitectura, Conarquitectura, Tectónica, TC Cuadernos, Metalocus and ArchDaily, among others.
