Atelier XY was co-founded in 2018 by Qi Xiaofeng and Wang Yuyang. Based in Shanghai, the firm focuses on boutique projects in the catering, retail, and office sectors, with its practice spanning multiple fields including architecture, interior design, and product design.

The x-axis and y-axis of the Cartesian coordinate system, the most widely used coordinate system in space, are the true logical origin of Atelier xy. "Direction" refers to orientation, and "domain" refers to space. We believe that the design process, beyond creation, is also an exploration and research of the space, its environment, lighting, materials, and all related aspects, including people.
